Tigers Weekend Recap (Oct. 9)

Your Tigers had a busy weekend. From the women’s hockey team opening up their season with an 8-1 win, to the men’s hockey team securing a 4-3 win in a shootout, there’s a lot to catch up on.

Women’s Hockey

The women came out strong in their season opener against Mount Alison with an 8-1 win, including 4 power play goals. They then banked two goals against Saint Mary’s, but it wasn’t enough as they lost 4-2.

Men’s Hockey

The men started slower with an 8-1 loss to Saint Mary’s, but turned the weekend around with a 4-3 shootout win against Acadia as Derek Gentile found the back of the net.

Women’s Soccer

The women earned a 4-1 win against Saint Mary’s, with Elise Evans scoring two goals.

Men’s Soccer

The men faced a tight battle against Saint Mary’s, coming out victorious with a 2-1 win.

Cross Country

The cross country runners set off to Fredericton, with Jacob Benoit leading the Tigers in sixth place.
