Lisa Maclean, Hockey
Fourth-year forward Lisa Maclean is this week’s G2 Female Athlete of the Week.
Lisa led the Tigers to a 3-0 victory over the Saint Mary’s Huskies on Sunday afternoon.
She scored the Tigers first goal of the game early in the first period to bring her season total to eight. She also earned assists on both their second and third goals for a total of three points and a +3 rating.
Lisa leads the team in points and is currently ranked ninth in the AUS.
A management student, Lisa is from Inverness, N.S.
Andrew Rieder, Hockey
Fourth-year forward Andrew Rieder is this week’s G2 Male Athlete of the Week.
Andrew helped lead the Tigers to two-straight victories last week.
In Wednesday’s 5-4 win over Moncton, Andrew notched the Tigers fourth goal of the game midway through the third period, to make it a tie game. The Tigers would go on to get a fifth goal to take the game.
He scored the Tigers go-ahead goal less than a minute into the second period of their 3-1 win over StFX in Antigonish on Friday night. Andrew also added an assist in the game, on the Tigers third and final goal of the night.
A native of Regina, S.K., Andrew is a commerce student.
