Taylor Goodwin, Soccer
Third-year defender Taylor Goodwin is this week’s G2 Female Athlete of the Week.
A wingback, she was tested all weekend against top opposition and consistently met the challenge with performance. Asked to defend and join the attack her steady play continues to help her team improve throughout the season.
A recreation student, Goodwin is from Hammonds Plains, N.S.
Pawel Gorski, Soccer
Fifth-year defender Pawel Gorski is this week’s G2 Male Athlete of the Week.
Gorski got his first goal of the season in Sunday’s 2-2 tie with Acadia.
The Subway player of the game in both of the Tigers matches this weekend, Gorski had two shots in the Tigers 1-1 tie with the visiting UNB Varsity Reds on Friday night in Halifax.
In Sunday’s 2-2 tie with the Acadia Axemen, he had another two shots and scored midway through the first half to tie the game at one apiece heading into the second half.
A native of Halifax, N.S., Gorski is an engineering student.
