The skies may have been dampened, but the spirits were high amongs the students, staff and faculty who marched in the Halifax Pride Parade last Saturday.
Dalhousie has taken part in the event for several years now as a showcase of support for LGBTQ+ individuals within the Dal community, across Halifax and beyond. This year's contingent, which included approximately 80 people, took the effort to the next level with a full float for the first time.
Some of the groups represented including the DSU, Dal Student Life, Res Life, Student Services, Dal Allies, Dal Gets Real and various student societies. (Not to mention both mascots: the Dal Tiger and Truro's Rocky the Ram.)

The effort was certainly recognized: Dalhousie won best non-profit float in this year's parade. Thanks to Added Touch who donated the float and the Facilities Management team who helped build the DAL letters: Craig Maclaughlin, Matt Cummings and Mike Blakeney.
And, of course, thanks to everyone who marched in the parade, as well as those who watched the parade from the sidelines and cheered!
