Courtney Thompson, Basketball
Fourth-year guard Courtney Thompson is this week’s G2 Female Athlete of the Week.
Thompson led the Tigers to a 65-58 victory over the UPEI Panthers Friday night. She went 11-11 from the free throw line on her way top collecting 23 points, four rebounds, three assist and three steals.
In their second game of the weekend, Thompson was hot again from the free throw line hitting all six. She had 24 points, four rebounds, two assists and four steals in the Tigers 76-70 loss to the Panthers on Saturday.
The Saint John, NB native is leading the AUS in free throw shooting percentage and has missed only one so far in the regular season.

Ritchie Kanza Mata, Basketball
Second-year guard Ritchie Kanza Mata is this week’s G2 Male Athlete of the Week.
Kanza Mata had a triple-double to lead the Tigers to a 91-88 victory over the UPEI Panthers Saturday night. He had 16 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds on his way to being named the Subway Player of the Game.
The Toronto, ON native is an arts student.
