Dalhousie University presents our G2 Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 17.
Molly Wedge, Swimming
Third-year swimmer Molly Wedge won five events at the AUS Invitational Swim meet hosted by Dalhousie this past weekend.
Wedge set new Dalhousie, AUS and Nova Scotia records while claiming victory in the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle events.
With those victories, she moved up in the Canadian rankings to fourth in the 100m, fifth in the 200m and sixth in the 50m. She was also part of the Tigers winning 400m medley and freestyle relays who are now ranked first and second respectively.
Molly is from Summerside, P.E.I. and is enrolled in Dalhousie’s Science program.
Molly was also named both the Subway AUS and CIS female athletes of the week!

David Sharpe, Swimming
Fifth-year swimmer David Sharpe won five events at the AUS Invitational Swim meet hosted by Dalhousie over the weekend.
Sharpe set new Dalhousie, AUS and Nova Scotia records in the 200m butterfly. He also claimed victory in the 200m backstroke and IM events. He finished all three events with CIS-qualifying times and is currently ranked first overall in Canada in the 200m butterfly and second in the 200m backstroke and IM events.
As a member of Dalhousie’s 400m medley and freestyle relays, David claimed two more first place finishes. Both relay teams are now ranked second and third respectively.
Originally from Halifax, N.S., David is a Science student.
