Athletes of the Week (Ending Nov 3)

(Halifax, NS) Dalhousie University presents our G2 Athletes of the Week for the week ending Monday, November 4, 2013.

Molly Wedge, Swimming

Third-year swimmer Molly Wedge had another successful weekend in the pool at Acadia’s Jack Scholz Invitational meet.

Wedge dominated the freestyle events claiming gold in the 100m, 200m and 400m races. She also placed first in the 50m butterfly, 200m freestyle relay and second in the 50m freestyle events.

Wedge is from Summerside, PE and is a science student.

Jonathan MacDonald, Volleyball

Third-year setter Jonathan MacDonald guided the Tigers to two victories over the Memorial Sea-Hawks in Newfoundland over the weekend.

In Saturday night’s match, MacDonald was named the Subway Player of the Game after recording 25 assists that led the Tigers to a .400 hitting percentage.

On Sunday, he recorded 35 assists, leading the Tigers to a .416 hitting percentage.

A native of Halifax, NS, Jonathan is enrolled in Dalhousie’s management program.
