Dalhousie University presents our G2 Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 13, 2013.

Rebecca Haworth, Track and Field

At the Jumpstart Open in Moncton, N.B. last Saturday, third-year Rebecca Haworth set a new personal best in the high jump with a leap of 1.73 metres. The height qualified her for the CIS championship and ranks her fourth overall in the CIS. Originally from Waverly, N.S., Haworth is a psychology student.

Simon Watts, Track and Field

Fifth-year kinesiology student Simon Watts recorded a distance of 14.21 metres in the triple jump at the Moncton, N.B.  Jumpstart Open last weekend. The 2012 CIS triple jump champion, Watts is currently ranked second overall in the CIS. The Halifax, N.S. native was also successful in the long jump with a first-place distance of 6.87 metres
