This week’s Dalhousie G2 Female Athlete of the Week is third-year basketball captain Anna von Maltzahn. In Saturday’s game versus the UPEI Panthers, she led the Tigers to a four-point victory with 14 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists. For her hard work on the court she was named the Subway Player of the Game. Currently, she leads the AUS in rebounds with a total of 138 and an average of 9.9 per game. A native of Halifax, N.S., Ms. von Maltzahn is enrolled in Dalhousie’s neuroscience program.

SPORT – Hockey
Hockey netminder Wendell Vye is this week’s Dalhousie G2 Male Athlete of the Week for his outstanding play in Saturday night’s 3-2 shootout victory over the CIS second-ranked UNB Varsity Reds. His play kept the Tigers alive, making a total of 37 saves and stopping five of eight shots in the shootout for the win. A first-year arts student, Mr. Vye hails from Moncton, N.B.
