First-year swimmer Paige Crowell is your Dalhousie G2 female Athlete of the Week. The Charlottetown, PEI native took full advantage of the Dalhousie Swim Invitational, setting three new Tigers records over the weekend. Ms. Crowell hit her stride in the breaststroke events, placing second in the 50m, while winning the 100m and 200m. Her respective times of 32.96, 1:11.79 and 2:36.37 broke the previous records set by Julia Gow (50m) and Sandi Mclean (100m, 200m). Ms. Crowell is currently enrolled in Dalhousie’s science program.

MALE – Kyle Watson
SPORT – Swimming
Distance swimmer and Dartmouth, N.S. native Kyle Watson broke two Atlantic University Sport and Dalhousie records this past weekend, garnering him G2 male Athlete of the Week honours. The first-year computer science student won the 400m freestyle event in a time of 3:57.31, smashing the old record of 3:57.84 set by Dalhousie swimmer Bryan Fumerton. Mr. Watson then proceeded to swim the 1500m freestyle race in 15:30.73, breaking black and gold swimmer Matthew Piggot’s record of 15:48.54.
