Need a car?

Let’s face it, sometimes you do. Whether it’s bringing a load of groceries home or bombing out to Cape Split to go hiking for the day, a car can come in pretty handy. Even handier is if you don’t have to deal with any of the headaches of having to own one.??

CarShareHFX is a locally owned and operated car-sharing business looking to offer this sort of service to Dalhousie University.

For the uninitiated the car-sharing concept is this. You buy a membership. Once you’re a member you have access a fleet of new, fuel-efficient, vehicles parked around the city. To access one all you need to do is hop online, make a reservation, show up at the designated time with your electric key fob, the keys will be waiting and for a nominal hourly fee you’re on your way.?

CarShareHFX, working with graduate students from Management Without Borders, wants to know if this service would be a welcome addition to the Dalhousie Community.

The students—Katie Wagner, Emma McLaren, Nirushan Thambirajah, Jeanna Greene and Paul Sylvestre—are conducting a survey to figure this out.
