All of a sudden, the courtyard in front of the SUB was thumping with music and soon, one by one, students joined the Dal Tiger for a few high-spirited dance numbers.
The students are all members of the Dalhousie International Students Association, otherwise known as DISA.
"We want to help international students at Dalhousie and to do that we have to let them know we are here," says Meelashini Auaduer, a member of DISA's executive and one of the participants in the flash mob.
DISA's mandate is promote cultural diversity and to offer support to international students so their time at Dalhousie is more enjoyable. The society holds several activities throughout the year, giving students far from home a chance to socialize and have fun.
