Bianca Jakisa of the Tigers soccer team is in her first year at Dalhousie and came to the soccer squad as a redshirt. Since tryouts began she has significantly stepped up her play and earned a spot on the playing roster. Her efforts were rewarded on Friday night as she scored the game winning goal (1-0) versus Saint Mary’s in the Tigers home game and earned AUS Subway Player of the Game honours. She also played significant minutes on Sunday as part of the 3-0 win over St. FX. Ms. Jakisa is originally from Mississauga, Ont.

Andrew Hutchison of the Tigers soccer team scored the winning goal in Friday night’s 2-0 home win over nationally ranked Saint Mary’s. For his efforts, he earned AUS Subway Player of the Game honours. Mr. Hutchison is a fifth year striker from Sackville, N.S.
