Dalhousie University's computer store, PCPC, was held up today by a lone man in an armed robbery. Halifax Regional Police and Dalhousie Security were immediately on the scene. No one was hurt. Police say there is no ongoing risk to anyone at Dalhousie campus.

The robbery occurred at 12:05 p.m. The man entered the store, located in Howe Hall, and pulled out what looked like a gun. He demanded that staff fill a large gym bag with laptop computers. He then fled. Campus security and Halifax Police responded immediately after store employees sounded the alarm.

This afternoon, Halifax Police are on campus continuing their investigation. They are asking anyone who has information that might be helpful to come forward.

Counseling has been offered to the store employees, and any students or staff who witnessed the event and feel like they need to talk about it. The Dalhousie Counselling Services Centre, located in the Student Union Building, can be reached at 494-2081.
