Alicia Dobranowski is this week’s Dalhousie University female athlete of the week. Her performance at the AUS Championships helped the Dalhousie women’s track and field team capture another title. She captured first place in pentathlon and also set a new AUS record for this event. She also captured gold in the 60mh, the high jump, the 4x400m and a silver in the long jump. For her performance, Ms. Dobranowski was named AUS female championship MVP. She is in her fifth year of eligibility and is enrolled in Dalhousie’s recreation management program.
Ueli Albert is this week’s Dalhousie University male athlete of the week. His strong performance at the AUS Championships helped the Dalhousie men’s track and field team capture another title. He captured first place in the 600m and the 1000m and was also part of the first place 4x800m relay team. For his performance, he was named AUS male athlete of the year. He is currently ranked second in the CIS for the 600m. Mr. Albert is in his third year of eligibility and is enrolled in Dalhousie’s kinesiology program.
