The Dalhousie Tigers women's cross country team finished off the 2006 season with a bronze medal at this year's CIS Cross Country Championships, hosted by Universite de Laval. Tiger standout Janice Ashworth led the charge for the women, earning a 6th place finish and CIS First Team All-Canadian nod.
AUS Champion Caroline McInnes finished in 19th spot in a field of 115 on the Plains of Abraham course. On the men's side, AUS silver medallist Robert Jewer earned top spot for the Tigers team with a 7th place finish (also earning a CIS First Team All-Canadian). Russell Christie, the 2006 AUS champion was named a CIS Second Team All-Canadian with his 14th place finish out of a field of 122.
