Jennifer Gauthier has won the Golden Key International Honour Society Graduate Scholar Award. A recent graduate of the biology program at Dalhousie, Jennifer also acted as president of DalhousieÕs Golden Key chapter for two years. She was selected from a group of international candidates for this award that supports graduate studies at universities worldwide. Dalhousie has had two previous winners, Stephanie Wood in 2005 and Joseph Chedrawe in 2003. Any active Golden Key member from the SocietyÕs 335 chapters may apply, but only 10 exceptional students are chosen to receive this prestigious award.
Gauthier said, ÒMy active involvement in Golden Key throughout my undergraduate degree and now my post-graduate studies has given me endless opportunities for volunteering, networking and friendship. I have made some very close friends that I would otherwise never have met if it werenÕt for Golden Key. I give many thanks to Golden Key for this prestigious award, which will provide support for myself and new family (husband Rob and baby Dylan) while I continue my MasterÕs studies in Marine Biology.”
