Since childhood, Holly Goulding has been interested in the environment around her. Summer camps and family trips inspired a love of nature and a duty to ensure its preservation. Holly has followed her passion and is now an environmental engineer. She says her technical background in engineering provided her with the skills necessary to help preserve ecosystems, bothlocally and around the globe. Her involvement with Engineers Without Borders has centered around education and capacity-building in water, sanitation and hygiene promotion in Mali. A recipient of many scholarships and awards, including a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) grant in Engineering, Math and Oceanography, Holly plans to continue researching watershed areas, and doing international development work related towater conservation.
