Oskar Schindler is best known as someone who rose to the highest levels of humanity, saving 1100 Jewish people from the horrors of the Holocaust. Immortalized in the Stephen Spielberg film, Schindler´s List, Oskar Schindler's influence continues to inspire and develop human kindness, 60 years after the war.

The Irving and Jeanne Glovin Award - supported by the Oskar Schindler Foundation - invites research on the principles of "good human conduct." Mr. Glovin´s nephew, Dalhousie´s Dr. George Mencher, describes his uncle´s work and deep friendship with Oskar Schindler. Watch the interview with Dr. Mencher, and the first winner of this award, recent Dalhousie graduate Christine Kelly.
