Meet Academic All Canadian Janice Ashworth

Janice Ashworth began her university career in Dalhousie's Integrated Science Program and this year is enrolled in the Environmental Science and International Studies Program. She earned Dean's List status both terms last year while being a standout on the cross country and track and field teams. She is the recipient of several scholarships from her native Dunrobin, ON as well as the Graham Family Athletic Award. Individually, Janice is a three-time CIS silver medalist; twice in cross country and once in track and field. Janice, the AUS cross country champion and MVP for the past two seasons, was named CIS Rookie of the Year in both cross country and track and field last year. She also earned AUS gold and CIS silver in the 3000m event at last season's track and field championships. Janice volunteers with many aid organizations and is currently in Malaysia on an exchange for the winter term.
