MES Alumna Ellen Whitman was recently interviewed on CBC's Quirks & Quarks.
Ellen is currently working towards a PhD at the University of Alberta where her research focuses on the spatial analysis of burn severity, postfire ecological impacts, and the temporal and spatial distribution of fire on the landscape. She is studying these topics using multispectral satellite imagery and field data collected in the northwestern boreal forest.
