Centre for Psychological Health
Welcome
Thank you for your interest in psychological services at the Centre for Psychological Health (CPH). Our Centre accepts referrals from established community partners. We do not accept self-referrals.
The CPH was established in 2023, as part of the Dalhousie Clinical Psychology PhD Program, in partnership with the Nova Scotia Office of Addiction and Mental Health to provide high quality training experiences for students in the Dalhousie Clinical Psychology Program and to meet community needs for psychological services.
How do I get care here?
Are you connected with any community agencies? If so, please ask your worker there or your family doctor (if you have one) if they are a partner of Dalhousie Centre for Psychological Health. We are not able to accept self-referrals. All of our referrals come from CPH established community partners.
We have set it up this way to make sure that we are the right fit for what you need care for and to build relationships with specific communities and populations that have not always had access to psychological care.
We know it can be hard to find mental health supports. If you would like support finding other options for mental health and wellbeing you can click here for a list of programs and services available across NS or call 211 or the mental health and addictions central intake/referral to access care with Nova Scotia Health and the IWK at: 1-855-922-1122.
