Selection of MS service:
Each spectrometer has certain features (ionization mode, tandem capability, resolution, etc.) that allows it to be used to acquire various types of mass spectra. It is important that the user have some familiarity with these features so that productive choices can be made. The right choice of experiment will improve the chances of obtaining useful spectral data. Choices can be discussed with Xiao Feng. Options other than those listed above also may be possible - again please contact Xiao Feng.

*A low-resolution spectrum is required prior to all tandem MS, thermal profile, accurate mass, or isotope ratio experiments.

Prices:

1. Academic rate: $10 per sample (Dalhouise community), $12 per sample (non-Dalhousie community)

2. Non-academic rate: $300 per hour, $50 per sample

3. All prices are in Canadian dollars, billed semiannually for internal Dalhousie University work, or upon delivery for off-campus work.
