Thank you for your interest in the Local Government program. We are in the midst of reviewing and updating the certificate concentrations to ensure that they are timely, responsive, and cover the most important knowledge and skills required to be successful in the field. The goal of this project is to improve the overall learner experience, and to include a microcredential in each course, which is a sharable virtual object that allows learners to demonstrate their newly-earned skills.
We are currently accepting registrations into the Associate Certificate in Local Government and our new concentrations will start becoming available in 2022. Please note that the Associate Certificate will be a prerequisite for all concentrations.
We appreciate your patience, as not all of our courses will be available each term. Here is a list of upcoming courses for the Associate Certificate:
- LGOV0014 – Local Government
- LGOV0015 – Municipal Law I
- PALS0016 – Finance Essentials for Public Sector Leaders
Thank you for your ongoing interest in our courses and if you have any questions, please contact our Student Services team at openlearning@dal.ca. We look forward to welcoming you into our new program in 2022!
