From Lynn Somers, President Elect, Atlantic Provinces Library Association (http://www.apla.ca/):
The Atlantic Provinces Library Association administers the Carin Alma E. Somers Scholarship Trust. The trust provides an annual scholarship, valued at approximately $2,000, in her name to assist a Canadian citizen who is an Atlantic Provinces resident needing financial assistance to undertake or complete the academic requirements leading to a degree in Library and Information Science.
As a student in excellent standing, I am pleased to announce that the recipient of the 2015 Carin Alma E. Somers Scholarship is Amy Sutherland. Amy is a student of the MLIS program at Dalhousie University.
Congratulations Amy!
