Dr. Ed Leach urges students to sign up for the Social Enterprise for a Day (SE4D) conference (weekend of February 1-2). Your attendance qualifies as an eligible activity for the 'get your hands dirty' assignment in his class. Our guest on Friday night is Pete Luckett, founder of Pete’s Frootique. To attend, email ed.leach@dal.ca and drop off the $10 registration fee to Teresa Walsh in Rowe 4114. The fee will be returned to you on Feb. 2 at the conference.
Social Enterprize for a Day is a collaborative initiative from CEED, Mount Saint Vincent University Business Department and the Norman Newman Centre for Entrepreneurship at Dal. Students from Dal, MSVU, NSCC and HRM high schools will create and implement a social enterprise over the course of a single weekend. The two-day event will be fast, fun and focused. Volunteers from local agencies, social enterprises and educational institutions will team up with the students to help create each social enterprise and assist in making this event rock!
