Bloomberg Terminals launched at Rowe School of Business

Posted by Rowe School of Business on January 25, 2013 in News
Bachelor of Commerce students Breanne Beckett and Liam Connor monitor real-time stock market data on the new Bloomberg Terminal.

The Rowe School of Business is pleased to announce the installation of 12 new Bloomberg Terminals across the Dalhousie campus. The Bloomberg Terminal is the premier financial analysis tool to access real-time information for any publicly traded company.

More than just Finance majors can utilize Bloomberg, as the technology provides current and historical access to every major news organization, government agency and corporation. Having this technology on campus provides a real opportunity for students because recruiters are seeking graduates who are familiar with technologies they will be using in the workplace.

Free training is available on the system at your own pace. Just create a login ID to begin the Bloomberg Essential Training Program. It’s a great certification to add to your résumé!

Ten terminals are located in the Risk Lab on the 2nd floor of the Rowe Building.  Additional terminals are located in the 4th floor computer lab in the Rowe Building, as well as in the North Learning Commons at the Killam Library. Go check it out—you can’t miss their distinctive keyboards!
