Dalhousie excels at MBA Games

Posted by Rowe School of Business on January 9, 2013 in News

Fifteen students from the Corporate Residency MBA program spent the first weekend of 2013 competing against over 600 of their peers from across the country in everything from finance to dodgeball at the 2013 MBA Games.

Hosted this year by the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University in Hamilton, this annual competition is now in its 24th year and is widely considered to be the premier MBA competition in Canada.

More than just fun and games, students compete in academic, athletic, and spirit competitions, while networking with fellow MBA students from across the country.

Congratulations to Dalhousie team members Rebecca Rogez, Jennifer Jackson, Eric Dunford and Kyle Palantzas for placing first in the Crisis Management Case Competition!

Small but mighty, the team from the Rowe School of Business also brought home the “Mini Cup”, an award given to the team with the most points per capita.

Other milestones from the weekend include winning the Spirit Award at Opening Ceremonies, competing in the final round in both Finance and Marketing, and an overall third place finish in the academic category.

The team thanks their Corporate Sponsor, CIBC, for making the trip possible!
