Each year, student sections and faculty, librarians, and staff at the Schulich School of Law square off in a friendly rivalry to see who can collect the most donations to benefit Feed Nova Scotia.
"Thank you to each and every one of you that donated to the Feed Nova Scotia food drive over the last few weeks," says Anthony Rosborough, VP-External for Dalhousie's Law Students' Society (LSS).
"This year we had 2334 food items donated, which nearly quadruples our totals from last year, which saw 599 [items donated]," says Rosborough. This year also marked a shift as the first in many where all student sections overtook the reigning Faculty, Library & Staff contributions.
Congratulations go out to Section B, who collected 792 items in this year's drive. As per the contest, the winning section receives a $200 prize, and the LSS and Faculty, Library & Staff will make an additional cash donation to Feed Nova Scotia.
A very special thanks goes out to the Sir Dunn Law Library's Anne-Marie White in taking the lead on this year's food drive.
"Without her pushing all of us to donate, I'm sure that we wouldn't have had such a great result," notes Rosborough. "Once again, I want to congratulate all students, faculty and staff for doing such a great job this year with the food drive."
