The Criminal Justice Coalition Presents: So Many Fakes - Canada's Largest Art Fraud Case
The Criminal Justice Coalition invites you to attend, 'So Many Fakes: Canada’s Largest Art Fraud Case,' a panel discussion examining the crime of art fraud in Canada, focusing on the large-scale fraud prosecution related to the work of famed Indigenous artist Norval Morriseau.
Chaired by Schulich Law Professor Rob Currie, the panel will feature appearances by art collector and musician Kevin Hearn of the Barenaked Ladies, who was a victim of the fraud; Toronto lawyer and art fraud expert Jonathan Sommer; and Detective Sergeant Jason Rybak of the Thunder Bay Police Service, who was an investigator in the Morriseau fraud case (TBC).
