MELP Donation Fund
The Marine & Environmental Law Institute (MELAW) is solely supported by the overhead funding received from the ongoing work on research projects carried out by members of the institute. We also rely on the generous contributions of our alumni and community members who donate to the Marine & Environmental Law Program (MELP) fund.
This funding supports the events and activities of the institute such as the annual Douglas M Johnston Lecture and the Meinhard Doelle Legacy Lecture, which are both co-sponsored with the College of Sustainability. Contributions also continue to support opportunities and events for student such as the “Meet the Profs” (MTP) event that is jointly sponsored with Dalhousie's Environmental Law Students' Society.
