Weldon Award

Celebrating a long tradition of service in the public good

Since 1983, the Weldon Award for Unselfish Public Service has recognized law school alumni that have made outstanding contributions to the community and the legal profession.

The award is named for Richard Chapman Weldon, the founding dean of Dalhousie University's Schulich School of Law. He was known for his committment to unselfish public service, referred to as the Weldon Tradition
