About Us
The Dalhousie Hearing Aid Assistance Program-Community Services (DHAAP-CS) provides new hearing aids to adults who receive Income Assistance benefits from the Government of Nova Scotia. An application process is required. Clients must have a caseworker through the department of Community Services to qualify.
DHAAP-CS provides audiology students from the Masters program at the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders with hands-on clinical experiences with hearing assessment, hearing aid fitting, post-fitting follow-ups and audiological rehabilitation.
DHAAP-CS was developed in partnership with the Nova Scotia Department of Community Services, the Lion’s Club of Nova Scotia and Lions International.
