By Dr. Caitlin McArthur, Chair of the Research Committee

The researchers in the School of Physiotherapy have been hard at work over the fall and winter, with many publications, presentations, and grants obtained. As we transition into the spring, I  will be moving into the role of chair of the Research Committee in the School. On behalf of the Research Committee, we thank Dr. Cheryl Kozey for her leadership in research in the School of Physiotherapy over the past few years. Below are a few highlights of some of the research work that has been going on in the School of Physiotherapy over the past few months.

Crossroads Interdisciplinary Health Research Conference 2023

Students and faculty members within the School of Physiotherapy attended and presented at the 2023 Crossroads Interdisciplinary Health Research Conference. Crossroads provides a forum for interdisciplinary learning and collaboration between students and experts in health-related fields.

This annual conference is hosted by the Graduate Student Society at Dalhousie University’s School of Health and Human Performance. The Healthy Populations Institute at Dalhousie University contributes to the organization of the conference by providing physical space and institutional memory storage. This year marks the 19th iteration of the Crossroads Conference. It has grown to become a nation-wide, peer-reviewed academic conference that receives submissions from diverse, health-related disciplines across the country.
