Q and A with 2nd year MScPT student Tife Faromika - who recently completed his Clinical Placement at Dalhousie's Physiotherapy Clinic.
Q: What has been your favourite thing about placement here at Dalhousie?
A: Being able to constantly learn and gain new MSK knowledge to better develop my clinical reasoning skills!
Q: What field of interest would you like to pursue after graduation?
A: Private MSK practice, like the clinic here!
Q: What are your goals for after graduation?
A: My goals would be to continue to learn along side my clinical instructor and physiotherapy team. Also to become advanced in orthopaedics while still working with MSK Patients!
Fun fact about Tife he is originally from Nigeria and immigrated to Prince Edward Island, Canada in 2011 at the age of 16!
Q and A with 2nd year MScPT student Kat Georgoudis - who recently completed her Clinical Placement at Dalhousie's Physiotherapy Clinic.
Q: Where were your placements before here?
A: I completed a placement in the PCU at the Abbie J. Lane building and another placement in the Orthopedic and Medicine unit at the Halifax Infirmary.
Q: What made you want to go into physio?
A: I always had an interest in the human body and how to “solve the problem” in order to rehabilitate it. That on top of collaborating with other health care professionals and patients involved solidified my desire to become a physiotherapist.
Q: What field of interest would you like to pursue after graduation?
A: I would love to be an acute care physiotherapist; however, I’ve always had an interest in working with sports teams. I am open to either!
Q: What are your goals for after graduation?
A: Definitely getting a job and potentially working as a physiotherapist abroad for a year or two.
Fun fact
I’ve been dancing for the last 21 years and am part of the Dalhousie Black and Gold Dance Team! I also can speak 3 languages! (Greek, English, French)
