Clinical Education Award 2024
We would like to thank all of our outstanding Clinical Instructors!When it comes to mentoring, some clinical instructors go up and beyond in providing a rich environment for clinical practice experience and endless opportunities for learning while playing an active role in the exchange of ideas and experiences.It is our great pleasure to have presented these Clinical Instructors with the Dalhousie University's School of Physiotherapy Clinical Education Award. CLINICAL EDUCATION AWARDS CRITERIA
Intent: To recognize a facility or an individual physiotherapist within the Atlantic Provinces who demonstrates excellence in, or makes an outstanding contribution to, the clinical education of students over an extended period.
Criteria include:
- Consistent acceptance of more than the recommended minimum number of students per year (2 per therapist)
- A high level of student satisfaction based on information gathered from the Student Evaluation of Clinical Placement.
- The development, implementation, and evaluation of an innovative supervision model.
- The design and implementation of student in-services/teaching sessions
- The recognition of leadership abilities in the area of clinical education.
Nominations are submitted by students, Clinical Team Leads, Managers, Supervisors, Facility Coordinators and/or Provincial Coordinators to ptclined@dal.ca
