Community News Fall 2022

The Dalhousie School of Occupational Therapy is excited to announce that we are currently engaged in community consultations to inform the design of a new curriculum that we aim to commence in September 2024!
Why fix something that's not broken, you might ask?
Among the key reasons are:
- To better align our existing program with the 2021 Competencies for Occupational Therapists in Canada guideline
- To better align our program with School's new Conceptual Framework
- To improve the quality of learning for students with more opportunities to build on learning from one term to the next
- To prepare students for a broader range of placements right from their first day in the field!
- To enhance our partnerships and provide continued education opportunities to practicing occupational therapists
- To uphold our responsibilities to Truth and Reconciliation
In collaboration with provincial leads and in accordance with institutional protocols related to onsite gatherings, we are undertaking in-person consultations in St. John's, Grand Falls, Cornerbrook, Charlottetown, Fredricton, and Halifax.
