The second annual Nursing Inquiry, Creativity, and Innovation (NICI) Showcase, was held in April. This event is organized by the Nursing Research Interest Group (NRIG).
This showcase highlights the many brilliant and talented students in the school of Nursing, and provides them an opportunity to display a piece of work they have completed within the domains of nursing Inquiry, Creativity and Innovation.
The work can originate from class study or from other areas of nursing-related work. The emphasis is placed on the work and its contribution or implications for nursing. Examples of creative work are: poems, paintings, songs, illustrations, needlework, carving, etc. The inquiry category, however, requires that students present in proper research poster format; the innovation category is flexible in how new ideas/works may be presented.
A review process is integrated into the submission of abstracts to support students in improving on the original draft before presenting the final version at the showcase.Three judges per category are utilized to account for variability in judging.
