Mike Doyle’s (BSCPT ’94) education and career have taken him down some unexpected roads. Originally drawn to physiotherapy because of his experiences as a student athlete, the trajectory of his career has since taken him from being a physical therapist to growing and managing hundreds of health care facilities and starting his own investment firm.

The Faculty of Health grieves with Indigenous communities on the discovery of children’s remains on or near residential school properties. In May 2021, the unmarked graves of 215 children were located on the site of the former Kamloops Residential School.

Dr. Jeanna Parsons Leigh, assistant professor in the School of Health Administration, is among researchers from the Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences, Engineering, Science, and Health, that have been named as Dalhousie’s newest Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Chairs. The Killam Chairs are awarded to academics of the highest distinction at Dalhousie with appointments of up to five years.

The Rankin government announced today, July 2, it is investing $49,400 annually in the permanent addition of eight first-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing seats at Dalhousie University’s Yarmouth campus.
