Congratulations to staff, students, faculty, alumni and friends on their recent achievements:
- Cheryl Kozey - Associate Dean (Research), Faculty of Health Professions and Professor, Co –Director of the Dynamics of Human Motion Laboratory - recently received the Canadian Society for Biomechanics Career Award. The award, presented at the Canadian Society for Biomechanics Conference in late July, honours individuals who have been active in promoting the field of biomechanics in Canada.
- Nursing's Kathryn Hayward received the Best of JOGNN Award from the Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic & Neonatal Nursing. Presented annually to the author of an original article, Kathryn was recognized for her publication "Effect of Cobedding Twins on Coregulation, Infant State and Twin Safety." - Patricia Cleave - Human Communication Disorders - and her team were recently awarded a SSHRC Grant in the amount of $365,096 over four years for "The discourse skills of monolingual and bilingual school-aged children." Co-investigators include Elizabeth Kay Raining-Bird (Human Communication Disorders).
- Congratulations to students from the School of Human Communication Disorders on their scholarship success:
- Peter Cahill - Killam Predoctoral Scholarship ($10,000) and Nova Scotia Graduate Scholarship ($10,000)
- Lisa Beck - Nova Scotia Graduate Scholarship ($10,000)
- Eleanor Campbell - Nova Scotia Graduate Scholarship ($10,000)
- Sarah Martin - NSHRF Scotia Scholar Award ($10,000)
- Kegan Stephen - Nova Scotia Graduate Scholarship ($10,000)
- Ariane Tye - James Robinson Johnston Scholarship ($15,000)
