The Faculty of Health Professions had an outstanding turnout for this year's Homecoming Fun Run, winning the Presidents Prize of $500! The School of Occupational Therapy took top honours in the FHP Challenge for the second year in a row, winning $500 toward an event of their choosing.

Faculty and students at the School of Health Sciences will have expanded opportunities for MRI-based research as a result of a collaboration between GE Healthcare Canada and BIOTIC, a research centre of the IWK and the Nova Scotia Health Authority's QEII Health Sciences Centre.

The "Hope Not Jail" research project led by Crystal Dieleman (Occupational Therapy) and Jean Hughes (Nursing) aims to prevent the criminalization of people with mental health problems.
