Patricia Farry - Manager, Distance Education for the Faculty of Health Professions - will be conducting three e-learning workshops in November:
Bb Learn Basics
Friday, November 7
10:00 - 11:30 am
Bb Learn Basics will cover the fundamentals of using the learning management system. Even if you have been using Bb Learn for a while, you may not be aware of all the bells and whistles available to help manage your face to face, blended, or fully online teaching.
Engaging Learners Online
Tuesday, November 18
10:00 - 11:30 am
Engaging Learners Online will delve into what tools can be used to foster interaction in your course. Discussion boards, blogs, journals, wikis and Bb Collaborate will be covered. This workshop will be beneficial to those who are teaching blended or fully online courses.
Assessments and Grading Online
Thursday, November 27
2:00 - 3:30 pm
Assessments and Grading Online will explain how to set up and deliver online quizzes and tests, receive assignments online, and how to leverage the inline grading and rubric tool to manage assessments in your course. We will also focus on how to manage the Grade Centre to keep track of student progress.
Register for the workshops by contacting Patricia Farry - patricia.farry@dal.ca - by November 1. Participants will be emailed regarding the locations of the workshops.
