Association of Health Administration Students (AHAS) Participate in "Trick or Eat" Campaign
Congratulations to the Association of Health Administration Students (AHAS) who took part in the Meal Exchange Trick or Eat Campaign. Trick or Eat is an event that takes advantage of the giving spirit of Halloween, but instead of collecting candy, participants throughout North America go door-to-door to raise funds, and collect non-perishable food items for local food agencies. AHAS members held a bake sale at the RBC building in Support of Feed Nova Scotia, raising a total of $440. They also went out "Trick or Eating" in costume, and collected 60 boxes of food, which was also donated to Feed Nova Scotia.
Cancer Research Training Award
Congratulations to Stephanie Forget (PhD student, Chemistry) who received a Cancer Research Training Award for "Synthesis of novel jadomycins by hijacking biosynthetic machinery for evaluation as anticancer agents." Stephanie is supervised by Dr. David Jakeman (Pharmacy).
