We are very pleased to officially launch the Strategic Research Plan for the Faculty of Health Professions.
The plan was approved by Faculty Council on May 23, 2013. It has been a long process that began in January 2011 with work on the research overview document (endorsed by Faculty Council on January 26, 2012) and then proceeding to the strategic research plan itself. This work has involved much discussion and consultation with the Research Committee, Faculty Council, other Deans and Associate Deans, VPs of Research, Dalhousie's liaisions with the Tri-Council funding agencies and the NSHRF - but most importantly with faculty. Both documents went back and forth several times for feedback and input. They are available on the Research Plan page of the website.
Thank you to everyone for your input in emails, participation in the focus groups and the January strategic research planning day!
Special thanks to the working group (Marilyn MacDonald, Kerry Goralski, Shaun Boe, Sandra Crowell, Suzie Officer and Frank Schwartz) who pulled together that work into the draft document that went to Faculty Council for approval.
We begin working with this plan immediately!
