POSITION: Student Lab Monitor - Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound Technology (DMUT)
Potential start date, week of September 9th, 35 hrs (5hrs/week for 6 weeks); potential for additional hours after 6th week.

Lab time:  At agreed upon times in collaboration with faculty.
One afternoon and one evening per week.
Location: Tupper 2B08
Rate of pay: $15.20/hour

WORK ASSIGNMENT: Reporting to DMUT faculty, the lab monitor will be expected to perform the following tasks:
Open and close the lab according to the schedule.  Set-up/prepare equipment and/or site for student practice. Clean up of equipment/site after lab hours finish. Secure lab key for the duration of the term. Troubleshoot minor site issues. Assist with lab stock including linens, gel, gloves, and other supplies. Ensure lab attendance and volunteer waivers are signed and documented. Enforce lab rules.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Good reliability and responsibility standards required for overseeing valuable medical equipment. Relevant training/experience in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound and basic knowledge of equipment operation.  Completion of DMUT 1500 is required.  Previous undergraduate degree preferred. Previous lab experience is an asset.
