Volunteer Opportunities

Be a well-rounded student

Volunteering is a great way to gain valuable job skills while you're a student. Or maybe you'd simply like to give something back to the community. Either way, Dalhousie's Career Services Centre can connect you to volunteering opportunities with hundreds of different organizations across the city - or somewhere on campus.

Alumni of our Recreation programs (Therapeutic Recreation and Recreation Management) can volunteer to serve on the Program Advisory Committees. These groups meet quarterly and provide advice on enhancing our Therapeutic Recreation and Recreation Management programs.

Current Therapeutic Recreation and Recreation Management students can get involved in SAHHPer, the Dalhousie Recreation Association, or can volunteer to help out with the Recreation Orientation weekend and/or open house events.

You could also have your volunteer experiences officially credited. Find out about Dal's Co-Curricular Record program.
