This Program requires the completion of two components:
Live & On-line - Both components are to be completed for the Accredited 5.5 CEU's
This program includes a recording of a panel discussion on topics including age of consent; suspected/actual child abuse/sexual violence and duty to report. Panel members anticipated to participate include nurse practitioners currently prescribing hormonal contraceptives, and individuals with expertise in sexual abuse. Interactive activities designed apply knowledge; navigate websites/apps; practice and develop communication skills.”
Hormonal Contraception: A Primer for Pharmacist Prescribing is authored and presented by Dr. Anne Marie Whelan, BSc(Pharm), PharmD, FCSHP, Professor and Associate Director, Program Evaluation, College of Pharmacy, Dalhousie University. It was developed as a collaboration between the Pharmacy Association of Nova Scotia and the College of Pharmacy, Dalhousie University. It includes both an online component as well as a live date session. A certificate will be provided by PANS upon completion.
