Choosing Your Discipline

At the end of your first year - all Engineering students at Dal as well as all Associated Universities will submit their top 5 discipline choices.  Decisions will be made by early June, and you will be notified of your discipline prior to second-year registration. 

If you are requesting a discipline change after January 15th in your second year, students must seek permission from the Program Coordinator their discipline choice. Students must also ensure that all Year 1 and Year 2 requirements are met.

When choosing a discipline students are encouraged to attend all Engineering Advising sessions, discipline presentations, tours and seminars in CPST 1103 and CPST 1203.
