Research Interests
Scott Bishop, BScm MASc, PhD, completed his PhD in Aerospace Engineering at Carleton University, his thesis research was in Structural Health Monitoring of aerospace structures using ultrasonic waves. Scott completed a BSc in Kinesiology and MASc in Mechanical Engineering at Dalhousie University focusing on the design of devices for human-machine interaction.
Scott is co-founder of Leap Biosystems, a company specializing in medical technologies for human space exploration, while translating these back to earth to provide cutting edge medical care. These technologies provide astronauts and remote healthcare providers with just-in-time procedural guidance using augmented reality and artificial intelligence..
