Research Interests

My research focuses on developing new approaches to address complex decision problems tractably and realistically. I consider the four dimensions of complexity: size, nonlinearity, uncertainty, and dynamic behavior using a combination of tools that include: decomposition and approximation techniques, stochastic and robust optimization, metaheuristics, simulation, machine learning, and time-series analysis. Application-wise, I target logistics and energy problems.
